mommy's helpers

Aiden helps me so much around the house that I figured it's time for a section titled "mommy's helpers" in order to share the cute photos from those times. I'm sure it won't be long until Isabel's joining us!

Some wonderful words of advise from my Mom that have been a huge help to me, is to let the kids work alongside me. To take the time to do things slower but to teach them and get their "help" as we go. It creates lots of memories, teaches them great life skills, teaches me patience, and most of all... it's fun!

I make the dough in the bread machine and then roll it & let it rise in a pan. One of the best smells in the world is oven baked bread! Aiden is a great little helper and always helps Mommy when it's time to roll the dough. Here's him rolling it...

...putting it into the pan...

...making sure the loaves are at least sort of the same size (and of course extra lumpy and finger poked for added flavour!)...

...high five!

  1. Hahahaha! So incredibly sweet! We just have to get him mastering the 'piles', then we're all set! ;)

  2. He actually has been helping me with the "piles". :) He used to roll the laundry up in a ball, but now he can actually fold a washcloth really well if he does it beside the one I'm doing & watches me. He loves to put laundry in the washer and dryer for me too.
