The Fruits of My Labour

I just had to slip a photo of my little beauty in. She's my second-fruit, I suppose, so it's a suitable photo to include in this post. :)

Isabel is all dressed up still after going to church with Mommy & proudly displaying a sock she found in our change room.

Summer laundry. Our dryer is broken. Eep! We even hung up string on the back porch to hang extra laundry on since we had diapers and clothes to dry in the sun. Thank goodness it happened in the summer, and during a dry week! Bruce is being a busy bee today, cleaning the garage out (which explains the messy photo). Aiden's helping of course, between sits on the potty (he's potty training!)

Nasturtiums. They aren't just pretty but help to keep the bugs out of the garden.

A stray branch of raspberry bush that snuck through our fence from the neighbors yard. We cherish each and every little raspberry that grows on it.

A wasp in the lettuce.

This garden box holds peas, beets, beans, lettuce, nasturtiums, and a tomato plant (thanks Mom & Dad!) sitting on the edge. The spinach would have come up in this garden as well, but didn't germinate because of the weather.

More nasturtiums...taking over the poor rhubarb! One of the two rhubarb plants never fully recovered from a nasty hail storm we had last month. Hopefully it'll come back stronger next year after a winter of rest.

Disappointingly strange tasting purple colored carrots. What was I thinking?

Another view. Thanks for the trellis, Bruce! Next year we'll grow peas in a low garden box we'll build beside the garage wall. They get tall!
